'Arriving in the UK isn't the end of a young refugee's journey'
For many young refugees, when they arrive in the UK it is the start of a long bureaucratic and stressful process. Many arrive here without a support network or understanding of the system they are being processed by, often ending up homeless or placed in unsuitable housing, putting a strain on both their physical and mental wellbeing.
The Children's Society asked us to create a film that highlights the struggle that these young refugees face. Working alongside both the Children's Society and Goitom Fesshaye (a former young refugee turned actor) we collated several real life accounts to tell their story, giving the film an authentic voice that best represents a refugee's struggle.
The film will be released between 17-20th June as part of Refugee Week 2019.
